The CHC addresses the prevalence, risk factors, and prevention of cardiovascular disease(CVD) in African American women using culturally responsive resources. It provides access to cardiovascular health education and research targeting African American women - The CHC approach raises cultural awareness about CVD.

An Alabama native, healthcare executive and public health practitioner, Liza is a thought leader with over 15 years of healthcare management experience. She is a published author and community leader with recent acknowledgements by Marquis Who's Who in America 2022-2023 and Becker's Hospital Review as one of the 75 Black Healthcare Leaders to Know 2022. She completed her Doctor of Public Health degree from Samford University with a concentration in Health Management and Policy. She earned her Master of Science in Healthcare Management at Troy University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of West Alabama. She owns and manages a health management consulting organization that focuses on improving healthcare access, equity, and quality. Some of her past work has focused on quality improvement initiatives along with rural and primary care strategies that address social determinants of health for underserved communities.
